Reversible Two-Tone Stretch Satin Jacquard Fabric
Reversible Two-Tone Stretch Satin Jacquard Fabric has a front-and-back finish where shine and matte texture trade places from one side to the other. On the face, the floss satin base carries a glossy sheen while the woven motif sits matte against it; flip the fabric over and that relationship reverses, with the motif catching the gloss and the ground turning matte.
With two-way stretch and a soft, fluid hand, it behaves closer to a fashion satin than a structured jacquard. The design range includes Wave, Animal Motif, Seaweed, Leaf, Pansy Flower, Lily Flower, Hibiscus Flower, Floral, Oval Lattice, Baroque and Graphic Line directions across tonal and high-contrast colourways.
Use it for structured-yet-fluid dresses, eveningwear, skirts, fitted garments and statement pieces where either side of the fabric can be used in construction. Made in Türkiye. Order a swatch to feel the stretch and reversible finish before cutting or production.

What buyers ask before ordering
How can I use both sides of this reversible satin jacquard in one garment?
Both faces are intended to be usable: the relationship between glossy and matte areas reverses from one side to the other. Designers can use one face for the main body and the reverse for cuffs, lapels, panels, belts or other contrast details after comparing the selected colourway in real light.
How much stretch does this fabric have?
The product is specified as 2-way stretch and contains 2% elastane. Test the actual extension and recovery of a swatch before reducing pattern ease, because it remains a woven satin jacquard rather than a high-stretch knit.
Is it suitable for a fitted dress?
Yes for fitted or semi-fitted woven designs when the pattern is tested against the fabric's actual 2-way stretch and recovery. Closures, seams and ease should still be planned as for a stretch woven, not a bodycon jersey.
What does 210 GSM mean for the finished garment?
210 GSM gives it midweight body while the satin construction remains fluid. It can support dresses, skirts, fitted separates and occasionwear without behaving like a very lightweight satin or a heavy brocade.
Is the fabric opaque?
Yes. It is specified as opaque in normal wear, making it suitable for garments where direct coverage is important.
Which design families are available?
The live range includes Wave, Animal Motif, Seaweed, Leaf, Pansy Flower, Lily Flower, Hibiscus Flower, Floral, Oval Lattice, Baroque and Graphic Line directions.
Should I decide the main face before cutting?
Yes. Compare both sides under the intended lighting, then mark the chosen face and top direction on every pattern piece so sheen and motif orientation remain intentional throughout the garment.
Can I mix the two faces without the garment looking mismatched?
Yes when planned deliberately. The reverse uses the same woven construction with the shine/matte relationship flipped, so it can create coordinated contrast rather than introducing an unrelated fabric.
How does the 130 cm width affect cutting?
A 130 cm width is narrower than many 145–150 cm dress fabrics, so check pattern layout carefully before ordering. Fitted dresses, full skirts, large sleeves and motif matching can increase meterage.
Do I need to match the jacquard motif across seams?
For prominent motifs or symmetrical panels, review the repeat before cutting and decide where matching improves the finished garment. Exact matching can increase fabric consumption.
How will the glossy and matte areas look in photography?
The two faces and woven motifs respond differently to directional light. Test a swatch under your studio, daylight or event lighting to decide which side photographs best for the intended garment.
What should I test before sewing?
Test stretch recovery, needle size, seam finish, pressing, motif placement and both fabric faces on a swatch before production. Avoid repeated unpicking in visible satin areas where needle marks could remain.
Will repeat orders match exactly?
Small colour, sheen and weaving differences can occur between production batches. For coordinated sets or repeat wholesale production, order the expected quantity together or compare a current swatch before reordering.
Is it suitable for a coordinated boutique collection?
Yes. The shared 210 GSM, 130 cm, reversible stretch base supports several motifs and colourways, allowing a collection to vary surface design while keeping similar construction behaviour. Sample the chosen variants together first.
When should I choose another fabric instead?
Choose a high-stretch knit when substantial elasticity is essential, a non-stretch jacquard for firmer tailored structure, or a plain stretch satin when you want the same type of smooth movement without a woven motif.

Before cutting or sewing this reversible stretch satin jacquard, test a swatch for washing, steaming, pressing, stretch recovery and sheen. Because the fabric is double-faced and stretch woven, check both sides before deciding the garment face.
- Test first Test washing, steaming, pressing and stretch recovery on a small piece before cutting the full fabric.
- Reversible face Choose the main face before cutting and check colour direction, sheen and motif placement.
- Wash Use cold gentle handling or dry clean if you want the safest route for the finished garment.
- Dry Do not tumble dry. Air dry gently in shade and avoid strong wringing or twisting.
- Iron Press from the reverse side with a pressing cloth, using low heat and light pressure.
- Cutting Let the fabric relax flat before cutting so the stretch and grain settle properly.
General care guidance only. Results may vary by colour, stretch, satin sheen, steam, water quality and garment construction.
Compare to Single-face printed satin
Printed satin creates its main motif through surface colour and is usually designed around one primary face, while this product is a reversible woven jacquard with 2-way stretch.
This fabric is better when
- Both faces can be incorporated deliberately into garment construction.
- The woven motif adds structural surface pattern rather than relying only on a print layer.
Single-face printed satin is better when
- Choose printed satin when detailed multicolour imagery or a custom graphic print is more important than reversible woven texture.
Compare to Non-stretch woven jacquard
A non-stretch jacquard offers stable woven structure, while this fabric contains 2% elastane and is specified with 2-way stretch.
This fabric is better when
- The measured product category supports fitted and semi-fitted woven silhouettes with some give.
- The reversible satin finish provides two coordinated surface options in one cloth.
Non-stretch woven jacquard is better when
- Choose a non-stretch jacquard when firm stability and predictable zero-stretch construction are more important than flexibility.
Compare to Plain stretch satin
Both can provide smooth movement and stretch, but plain stretch satin has no woven jacquard motif or reversible patterned effect.
This fabric is better when
- The woven designs add visual interest without requiring a separate print.
- The glossy-matte relationship reverses between faces for additional design options.
Plain stretch satin is better when
- Choose plain stretch satin when a solid unpatterned surface is easier to coordinate across garments and accessories.
