Is this fabric suitable for abayas and modestwear?
Yes. The opaque non-stretch woven base and fluid drape make it suitable for abayas, kaftans and modest garments, depending on silhouette and lining preference.
Is this fabric opaque or sheer?
It is listed as opaque. For pale colours, fitted garments or bright lighting, order a swatch and test lining before production.
Does this lyocell viscose fabric stretch?
No. It is a non-stretch woven fabric, so use patterns drafted for stable wovens rather than stretch garments.
How does this fabric drape?
It has a fluid, soft drape that works well for garments needing movement without a stiff or bulky look.
How does the 55% lyocell and 45% viscose blend feel?
The blend gives a smooth, soft and breathable hand feel with the elegant movement expected from cellulose-based apparel fabrics.

The surface is a digital print on a woven lyocell-viscose base. It is not a woven jacquard texture.

Should this fabric be lined?
Lining is optional depending on colour, garment shape and fit. The fabric is opaque, but fitted or pale styles may still benefit from lining.

Meterage depends on garment type, size, sleeves, fullness, print direction and pattern layout. Use the meter guide as a starting point and confirm with a pattern maker.
How should I care for this fabric?
Hand wash cold up to 30°C or use a very gentle cycle, avoid bleach and strong wringing, air dry in shade and press from the reverse side with a cloth.
What should I test before cutting?
Test washing, steaming, pressing, seam handling, colour response and drape on a swatch before cutting final yardage.
Will the colour look exactly like the screen?
No screen colour is exact. Colour can vary by monitor, lighting, print batch and camera exposure, so a swatch is recommended for colour-critical orders.
What should I search for to find this again?
Search for lyocell viscose digital print fabric, printed viscose dress fabric, soft abaya fabric, kaftan fabric, scarf fabric or resortwear fabric by the meter.
- Wash Hand wash cold, max 30°C, or use a very gentle machine cycle.
- Dry Do not tumble dry. Air dry gently in shade.
