Reversible Two-Tone Stretch Satin Jacquard Fabric

Reversible Two-Tone Stretch Satin Jacquard Fabric has a front-and-back finish where shine and matte texture trade places from one side to the other. On the face, the floss satin base carries a glossy sheen while the woven motif sits matte against it; flip the fabric over and that relationship reverses, with the motif catching the gloss and the ground turning matte.

With two-way stretch and a soft, fluid hand, it behaves closer to a fashion satin than a structured jacquard. The design range includes Wave, Animal Motif, Seaweed, Leaf, Pansy Flower, Lily Flower, Hibiscus Flower, Floral, Oval Lattice, Baroque and Graphic Line directions across tonal and high-contrast colourways.

Use it for structured-yet-fluid dresses, eveningwear, skirts, fitted garments and statement pieces where either side of the fabric can be used in construction. Made in Türkiye. Order a swatch to feel the stretch and reversible finish before cutting or production.

Quick answers

What buyers ask before ordering

What makes this Reversible Two-Tone Stretch Satin Jacquard different?

It combines a reversible two-tone satin jacquard face with two-way stretch, so both sides can be considered during design and the fabric has more give than non-stretch jacquards.

Can both sides of the fabric be used?

Yes. The product is described as reversible, meaning the two-tone satin jacquard effect can be used from either face depending on the garment design.

Does this fabric stretch?

Yes. It is listed as 2-way stretch, supported by the 2% elastane content. It still needs to be tested for recovery before fitted production.

Is this fabric opaque?

Yes. The product is listed as opaque, so it is suitable for garments where transparency is not wanted.

What is the composition?

The stored composition is 64% rayon, 34% polyester and 2% elastane.

How heavy and wide is it?

It is 210 GSM and 130 cm wide, giving it a medium structured satin-jacquard profile.

What garments is it best for?

It works for fitted dresses, reversible jackets or wraps, skirts, statement tops and occasionwear where satin finish, two-tone pattern and stretch are useful.

Which design families are available?

The stored product line includes multiple design families, including Wave, Seaweed, Leaf, Floral, Pansy Flower, Hibiscus Flower, Oval Lattice, Barook and Graphic Line directions.

Is this fabric printed?

The pattern is jacquard-woven into the fabric structure rather than simply printed on top.

How is it different from printed satin?

Printed satin has a surface print on one face. This fabric uses a two-tone jacquard construction and is reversible, so the pattern and finish relationship are part of the fabric structure.

Can I use this for body-conscious garments?

It has 2-way stretch, so it can support more fitted shapes than non-stretch jacquards, but a swatch test is still needed for stretch recovery, seam choice and comfort.

Should I test both sides before cutting?

Yes. Check both faces under the intended lighting before deciding which side will be the main face of the garment.

Can I order swatches across designs?

Yes. Order individual swatches per design and colorway to compare stretch, sheen, reverse face and color before committing to meterage.

What should I test before production?

Test stretch recovery, seam handling, pressing, drape, side preference and pattern placement on a swatch before cutting final yardage.

Where is this fabric made?

This reversible two-tone stretch satin jacquard is made in Türkiye.

Fabric care

Before cutting or sewing this reversible stretch satin jacquard, test a swatch for washing, steaming, pressing, stretch recovery and sheen. Because the fabric is double-faced and stretch woven, check both sides before deciding the garment face.

  • Test first Test washing, steaming, pressing and stretch recovery on a small piece before cutting the full fabric.
  • Reversible face Choose the main face before cutting and check colour direction, sheen and motif placement.
  • Wash Use cold gentle handling or dry clean if you want the safest route for the finished garment.
  • Dry Do not tumble dry. Air dry gently in shade and avoid strong wringing or twisting.
  • Iron Press from the reverse side with a pressing cloth, using low heat and light pressure.
  • Cutting Let the fabric relax flat before cutting so the stretch and grain settle properly.

General care guidance only. Results may vary by colour, stretch, satin sheen, steam, water quality and garment construction.

Fabric comparison
Compare to Single-Face Printed Satin

A standard printed satin has one usable face with a printed pattern and a plain, often duller backing — the reverse isn't designed to be seen or used.

This fabric is better when

  • Genuinely reversible, with the shine and matte relationship flipping between sides rather than one face being a plain backing
  • The two-way stretch supports fitted garment construction that a typical printed satin, often non-stretch, can't accommodate
  • The woven motif won't crack or fade at the surface the way a printed design can over time

Single-Face Printed Satin is better when

  • Printed satin is typically more affordable and faster to produce in custom or small-batch designs
  • A printed motif can be more photorealistic or intricate than a woven jacquard pattern allows
Best choice: Choose printed satin for budget-driven, single-use-face pieces or highly custom print designs. Choose this fabric when reversible construction and stretch are genuinely needed.
Compare to Non-Stretch Woven Jacquard

Most of the jacquard fabrics in this collection, including the embossed and tonal lines, are non-stretch wovens built for structured or relaxed silhouettes rather than fitted ones.

This fabric is better when

  • Two-way stretch supports body-conscious and fitted silhouettes that a non-stretch woven simply can't achieve
  • The reversible construction gives genuine design flexibility for wrap, reversible, or two-sided garment pieces
  • The floss satin sheen creates a more fluid, glossy drape than the structured matte hand of the heavier wovens in this line

Non-Stretch Woven Jacquard is better when

  • Non-stretch jacquard typically holds tailored structure and crisp seams better, useful for fitted bodices or structured panels
  • Without stretch, sizing and pattern grading can be more predictable for production
Best choice: Choose a non-stretch jacquard for structured, tailored pieces where shape retention matters most. Choose this reversible stretch satin for fitted, body-conscious, or reversible-construction pieces.
Compare to Plain Stretch Satin

A plain stretch satin offers the same fluid, glossy drape and stretch as this fabric, but with no woven pattern — just a solid color.

This fabric is better when

  • Comes with an extensive design catalog — eleven motifs across dozens of colorways — without sacrificing the stretch and sheen of a plain satin
  • The reversible shine/matte construction adds a design feature a plain satin doesn't have, even though both sides remain usable
  • More visual differentiation for product photography and in-store merchandising than a solid color

Plain Stretch Satin is better when

  • Plain stretch satin is simpler to match and coordinate across multiple garment pieces or accessories
  • Typically a lower cost option when pattern isn't a priority
Best choice: Choose plain stretch satin for foundational solid-color pieces. Choose this fabric when the woven motif itself needs to be part of the design.
