Korean Polyester Crepe Fabric is a smooth woven dress fabric with a silky-soft hand feel, opaque coverage, and a fluid drape. Made from 100% mechanical polyester, this 205 GSM fabric has slight mechanical stretch from its construction, but it does not contain elastane or behave like a true stretch fabric.

Use it for evening dresses, blouses, skirts, abayas, occasionwear separates, modest fashion, and lightweight tailored garments. The fabric is 150 cm wide and works well for designs that need opacity, drape, comfort, and a soft dressmaking finish.

Quick answers

What buyers ask before ordering

Does this fabric stretch?

This fabric does not contain elastane, spandex, or Lycra. It has slight mechanical stretch from the yarn and woven construction, giving a small amount of comfort and ease without behaving like a true stretch fabric.

Is this fabric see-through?

No. Based on the product data, this fabric is opaque and suitable for dresses, blouses, skirts, abayas, and occasionwear garments where coverage matters.

What is this fabric best used for?

It is best suited for evening gowns, cocktail dresses, blouses, abayas, modest fashion pieces, and polished occasionwear garments that need a smooth woven surface, fluid drape, and soft hand feel.

Does this fabric have shine?

It has a soft refined sheen from its silky finish, not a metallic or high-gloss shine. It is suitable for dressy garments without looking overly reflective.

Can I iron this fabric?

Use low heat and a pressing cloth. Polyester can be sensitive to high heat, so always test a swatch before pressing the final garment.

Is this fabric suitable for fitted garments?

It can be used for semi-fitted garments, but because the stretch is only mechanical, fitted designs should include proper ease, seams, or closures instead of relying on stretch recovery.

Can I order a swatch before buying meters?

Yes. Ordering a swatch is recommended so you can check the color, opacity, hand feel, drape, weight, and mechanical stretch in person before ordering meter quantities.

Can I request wholesale pricing for this fabric?

Yes. Choose Wholesale and enter your required quantity in meters. Our team will reply with a custom quote for larger orders, boutiques, designers, or production quantities.
