Do the micro pleats open when the fabric is stretched?

Should I cut pattern pieces with the pleats relaxed or stretched open?

Will this fabric cling to the body or show underwear lines?
Its lightweight 120 GSM construction and fluid drape allow it to follow the body, while the micro-pleated surface helps break up the completely smooth appearance of conventional satin. Very fitted garments can still reveal body or underwear lines, so appropriate ease, lining or seamless undergarments may be useful.
Can I make a pull-on fitted dress without adding a zipper?
The 4-way stretch can work well for pull-on designs when the pattern is specifically drafted for stretch fabric. Neckline, waist and hip openings still need enough usable stretch and recovery, so a pattern intended for non-stretch woven satin should not simply have its zipper removed.
