Sheer Glitter Stretch Tulle Fabric
Sheer Glitter Stretch Tulle Fabric is a lightweight South Korean stretch tulle made from 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Its sheer knit base is covered with an all-over glitter shimmer that flashes as the fabric bends, gathers and moves. At 100 GSM and 150 cm wide, it combines airy transparency with 4-way stretch and a fluid drape, making it especially effective for layered eveningwear, fitted occasion pieces, dance costumes, stage looks, sleeves and sparkling overlays.
Unlike a heavy sequin mesh, the surface keeps the silhouette visually light while still giving strong reflected sparkle. The open tulle construction lets lining colour influence the final appearance, so nude, tonal and contrasting bases can each create a noticeably different result. For body-following designs, pair it with a lining or base fabric that can accommodate the required stretch.
- Composition: 95% polyester, 5% spandex
- Weight: 100 GSM — lightweight
- Width: 150 cm
- Structure: knit stretch tulle
- Stretch: 4-way
- Transparency: sheer
- Drape: fluid
- Surface: all-over glitter shimmer finish
- Origin: South Korea
- Sold by: meter, swatch or wholesale quote
The glittered surface is decorative and should be protected from repeated rubbing, rough accessories and excessive heat. The mesh can also catch on sharp findings, so test the actual sewing, pressing and embellishment method on a swatch before production.

What buyers ask before ordering
Does the glitter read as a subtle shimmer or a strong sparkle under lights?
The all-over glitter finish is designed to catch directional light, so it can look softer in diffuse daylight and much more pronounced under spotlights, flash photography or stage lighting. Order a swatch if the exact sparkle level is important for your project.
How transparent is one layer of this tulle?
A single layer is sheer and will show the skin, lining or base fabric underneath. For fuller coverage, use a lining or build multiple layers; each additional layer will also make the colour and sparkle appear denser.
Will a nude lining make the fabric look different from a black or coloured lining?
Yes. Because the base is transparent, the underlayer becomes part of the final colour story. Nude gives more of an illusion effect, tonal linings deepen the shade, and dark or contrasting linings can make the glitter points stand out more strongly.
Is this suitable for a fitted stretch dress?
Yes as a decorative outer layer, provided the lining or base underneath has enough compatible stretch. The tulle itself stretches in four directions, but a rigid lining can restrict the finished garment.
Can I use it for dancewear or stage costumes that move a lot?
Its 4-way stretch and lightweight 100 GSM construction suit movement-focused designs. For high-contact performance pieces, reinforce stress areas appropriately and test the glitter surface for the level of rubbing expected in use.
Does the glitter shed or rub away?
This is a surface-finished fashion textile, so some change can occur over time with friction, repeated washing or rough handling. Treat the face gently and test a swatch if finish durability is critical.
Will the fabric look heavier if I gather it for a skirt?
Gathering increases both visual sparkle and opacity because more glittered surface is concentrated into the same area. The base remains lightweight, but several gathered layers will naturally add volume and weight.
Can I use this for sheer sleeves or illusion panels without lining?
Yes, where deliberate transparency is wanted. Keep in mind that seam allowances and reinforcement may be visible through a single layer, so sample the edge and seam treatment first.
What needle and seam approach should I test first?
Start with a fine stretch-compatible needle and a narrow seam suited to elastic mesh, then adjust tension on a scrap. The best setup depends on your machine, thread and how much stretch the finished area needs.
Can rhinestones or appliqués be added on top of the glitter?
They can, but adhesives, heat and sharp settings may interact with the glitter finish or open mesh. Test the exact embellishment system on an offcut before applying it to the garment.
Is this a good alternative to sequin mesh?
Choose it when you want high sparkle with a lighter, flatter surface and 4-way stretch. Sequin mesh usually gives more dimensional texture and weight, while this fabric keeps the silhouette softer and more fluid.
Should I order a swatch before buying full yardage?
A swatch is strongly recommended when you need to judge transparency, glitter intensity, colour over a lining, stretch recovery or compatibility with a specific sewing and finishing method.

- Wash Hand wash in cold water, up to 30°C, with mild detergent and very little agitation. Do not scrub the glittered face.
- Dry Gently remove excess water without twisting, then dry flat in the shade. Avoid tumble drying.
- Press If pressing is necessary, work from the reverse side at very low heat with a clean pressing cloth between the iron and fabric.
- Protect Keep the surface away from bleach, rough jewellery, hook-and-loop fasteners and repeated friction that may dull or disturb the shimmer.
- Sample first Check a swatch before washing, steaming, pressing, gluing or applying heat-set embellishments.
